    Hello!

I have just started working on raspberry pi. I have a small project in mind (controlling a solenoid and tell it to be active for a few seconds each time) and found david hunt’s tutorial that I followed.I was able to make the solenoid active only when press it manually . However, using wiringpi as mentioned from the tutorial doesnt seem to do anything. Even if I remove the wire from the pin 18, the solenoid does still seem to be active after I made a initial push by hand.So I am not sure how to make the first push via a call from the raspberry pi… I know that wiringpi works, because these simple lines made a LED from another circuit to light up, but not the solenoid…

    Please help

I didn’t find the right solution from the internet.
